    I have been working at Cromwell Tools full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Senior managers really care and now we are all being asked to work more as a team and the bonus scheme looks like it will pay out more if we do. Engagement is important to people now, a lot has been done to improve the place.

    Cons

    Some team leaders don't listen so we have to see senior managers instead. Team leaders should have the guts to speak up and make changes.

    Advice to Management

    Get team leaders to listen more and take action.

    Pros

    Ability to manage your customers and make decisions.

    Cons

    Underpaid. No progression. Talk about looking to promote from within but then bring in external employees.

    Advice to Management

    Get a grip on making it a better place to work. Take pride in your work and don’t just pick up your salaries and then go home after doing as little as possible.

    I have worked for Cromwell for 2 years. I started as Internal Sales and have recently been successful in my application to become a Key Account Manager. The company conduct an engagement survey and they really focus on the results and have made many positive changes over the last 2 years, showing they are more than happy to listen to feedback and criticism as long as its constructive.     Sick pay for all is fantastic, however there could be a recognition for those , who after a certain period of time do not lose any time for sickness.

    I advise anyone not to work here, Team leaders and managers are like a gang that wait on people to make a mistake before attacking them. They have now introduced a 3 strike rule on pickers who dont hit the "New" targets" which have just been upped by another 14 lines and realisticly impossible for most workers who try thier best, After the 3rd strike you lose your job, i think this is outrageous and hope the right...

    It’s a job and you get paid.

    Cons

    Losing millions and Senior Leaders have absolutely no clue how to turn things around and instead spend weeks off site looking at the strategy, instead of focussing on what we need to do here and now. Nobody cares and the customer is certainly not King! People wander in to work and then leave at the end of the day. Nobody to challenge or point us in the right direction as the managers are too busy looking for other jobs....

    Go on a course to learn how to really engage with people. Stop talking about doing things and get on with it. At least try and save the business for the people that work here.

    There are some great people that work for Cromwell and there are load of opportunities for the business to do well. After a transitional period i believe the company its on its way to better days

    Cons

    I think upper management need to consider how there decisions impact on staff who are already working to the best of there ability, they need to feel they have support and that there achievements are valued.

    Take on board the voice of front line Staff , they are after all the ones listening to the voice of the customer.
