I have been working at Currys PC World full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get along with everyone really well, are included in the banter & boosts your confidence by a hundred miles as you have to talk to customers all day - which will make you more socially-confident around people your own age, at parties, clubs etc.

    Cons

You have to sell a lot of other stuff on the side of the main product such as careplan - which is easy if you’re persuasive, mobile and home broadband as well as energy saving such as gas and utility bills. Can’t sit down for long, always standing up.

I have been working at Currys PC World full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    It's a job
    10% discount on items
Can be used to learn about the retail,as you will be multitasking.
Can be flexible during a year [excluding

    Cons

    - Too much pressure on hitting the targets and too many targets
    - Out of date software/terminals
    - Long hours, as well as working on christmas and public holidays [no extra pay on those days]
    - Weekend work is much harder to manage than a week day, however you do not get anything additional for doing it.
-Low pay compared to other retailers
    - Doing things that are clearly out of your job description
    - Rude customers
    - No appreciation for doing this work at all, people have worked there for 15 years and still would get the same wage, as someone who just came in.
    - Upper managment have no idea what working in their stores is like. They come in and expect everything to be grand.
-Many more, can't be bothered to list them all...

Colleagues are really helpful and always have your back.
Sent on a training course at the start of employment.
