I have been working at Cvent part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Great people who make work fun - majority are geuinely kind and caring, always willing to help no matter what job - Lots of socials including monthly drinks and different activities - Not one day is the same, always something new and different to do so I never get bored - Management are readily accessible, easy to talk to and not condescending or itimidating - very friendly and treat you as a friend - Good guidance for what I want to do and encouragement when I have new ideas for the office and for my role - Rewarded and appreciated for doing well both in words of appreciation and in salary

    Cons

    - Location of office - not a great commute for some employees but I guess you can't please everyone and current office also lacks meeting rooms - Some days can be very long - really unpredictable workload in my job role - Very busy in the run up to and during CONNECT - had to work long hours way past my scheduled timetable and no Time Off In Lieu - Seems like Sales always get the most incentives with fun competitions and evenings out - May feel there is bias towards Cvent HQ

I worked at Cvent full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great and young team, talented people to work with Many social events and networking possibilities If you like to travel the job brings many opportunities to do so. You can get involved in different projects and have a variety of tasks that keeps your day to day interesting. The client base is very diverse and allows you to grow your connections within the industry.

    Cons

It’s very hard (if not even impossible) to keep a good work-life balance. Due to an understaffed team, individuals are required to work long hours to cope with the workload. It's "normal" to catch up on your tasks after hours or on weekends and "everyone does so". For the amount of work you do and the responsibilities you have, the pay is very low and not matching the industry average. There is no way to do your job properly since you spend a lot of time fixing issues caused by wrong expectation settings from the Sales team or mismanaged product development. The company is very sales-focused and this makes working in a client support role frustrating. It seems to be more important to sell than to retain clients thus many people are not happy in the client service department because “sales” is more valued than “just” support. Furthermore rules are often blindly dictated by US management without understanding of the cultural differences and local market(s) withing countries outside the US. This goes for the whole company culture and includes the acknowledgement that working culture can be different elsewhere than in the US. The company forces you into a working commitment for a specific period of time with the excuse that they invest in your product training. You are "technically" not supposed to leave before that time period is over. At the same time the company does little to change the reasons why people are leaving.

I have been working at Cvent full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I really enjoy my time here because of the team - Good Infra - Good office location - Okay payscale - technically sound crowd - Great initiatives to work on the latest tech stack - good pay for freshers and lots of learning to improve your knowledge

    Cons

    - long working hours - upper management does not know whats going on in the team - depending on the team too much context switching makes work inefficient - Product knowledge is limited to the teams, but the work can come from anywhere and then we have to run around for gathering information (Product knowledge for all the people working on should be better). -late meetings, although the timings are flexible, but meeting are always late.

I worked at Cvent full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Happy hours and inner office romances ...

    Cons

Where to start.. - terrible pay - well beneath industry standard -micromanagement -inept management - long hours with no compensation for overtime -force you to sign a training "loan" shackling you to the company for at least 18 months - politics play biggest part in your success - HR violations from senior management.. disgusting - compensation changes halfway through the year that only benefits the underperforming employees- great way to motivate your top performers! - no satisfaction in work you do ** I could go on for hours but you get the idea

I have been working at Cvent full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Young culture, high energy, really fun environment and industry, travel.

    Cons

Low pay, long hours, and they are very watch dog - they track everything from your productivity to when you take your lunch. Management is grown in house so they dont have external leadership experience. Very high school click-ish.
