Pros
Working for DCE is like a family and despite the taboo nature of that phrase, I want to explain why I used it. A family is a group of people who care for and respect one another. A family may not always look alike, have the same hobbies, love the same people, or have the same ideologies, but above all else, they have each other’s backs. The culture of DCE is safe, respectful, and ever-growing. They celebrate each other’s victories, whether they are professional or personal. I gained a professional confidence here that I couldn’t have attained without the care and support of people like this group, so leaving DCE was a very hard decision, one that my boss supported me through. If you are looking for a company where the culture is positive, so you can focus on your professional development, DCE is the place for you.
Cons
People that are not suited for this environment tend to leave quickly, so you may pick up the slack in your department until someone else is hired. That being said, you are fully supported and everyone is very transparent about those situations, so people tend to lend a hand when asked/needed.
