Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Defense Finance and Accounting Service full-time for more than a year
Pros
All the typical government benefits (leave, insurance, retirement, etc.)
Cons
Hard work is only recognized with one thing: more work. There is no attempt by upper management to reward those who go above and beyond. Trying to get into the LIM program is very competitive, and to make matters worse, interns are given priority over existing, experienced employees. I've notice that many employees leave to go to other agencies, but very few come to DFAS from other agencies.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Defense Finance and Accounting Service full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
Knowing what I do is important
Cons
I used to LOVE working at DFAS Limestone and the last 5-6 years especially the last 3 years have been the worst ever. Upper management doesn't care about you or your family, they punish everyone in the building for 10 people taking advantage of their privileges, and on overtime they will make you sit there and do nothing if you have no work! Upper management loves to micromanage! It's to bad because I love what I do. There are lots of people at DFAS Limestone that work very hard, go over and beyond and care about what we do. However, upper management is making it VERY hard for us to like our jobs especially when they punish the people that are doing what we are supposed to do! Pretty soon we will all need deviations to go to the bathroom! It's ridiculous! If you want a life, respect and not to be treated like garbage that can be thrown away don't apply to DFAS Limestone....you'll regret it.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Defense Finance and Accounting Service full-time for more than a year
Pros
Easy work, repetitive, mostly autonomous unless it's something out of the norm
Cons
The people in upper management aren't always knowledgable in their positions because promotion are based on time in grade rather than performance. Raises don't happen because you're good at your job, but rather because you've hit a time requirement.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI have been working at Defense Finance and Accounting Service full-time
Pros
-Stability -Low Chance of layoff (Funded through DLA customers' purchases) Teleworking/Flex time
Cons
-Low Pay (Check location GS levels at OPM.Gov) -Benefits are basically skimmed pay and given as benefits -No help from upper management -Skilled workers are working hard to maintain quality, since high turnover -High responsibilities, work load doubles as they don't value hardworking employees and they leave. Only making other workers to take on the burden.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookI have been working at Defense Finance and Accounting Service full-time
Pros
Great place to work if you have small children, there's a daycare right on base. Promotions are very possible if you are a hard worker and show that you're serious about your job. Great opportunities for education and development. Benefits are as good if not better than the private sector. Pay is a little low but there is also a free fitness center and swimming pool on base, coupled with the daycare the benefits far outweigh the low pay.
Cons
There are a lot of people who just don't care and don't want to be there. Upper Management doesn't seem to care or do anything about it. Some managers are horrible and should never have been promoted in the first place. Again no one i upper management seems to care or do anything about it. Upper Management also places silly demands on the bottom people without having a clue about what the impact might be.
