Disappointing Company - Tremendous Churn as the Result

Pros

- Deliv has hired some truly amazing and talented people who are not only true professionals but genuinely lovely and fun people to work with. -Great job stability. You can stay at this company for as long as you want. Deliv rarely gets rid of any employees - even the unqualified ones.

Cons

-The majority of the amazing people who worked at Deliv have left in droves because of terrible treatment by the company and a complete disregard and lack of respect from managers and the exec team. -Lack of growth for anyone on the Operations teams. Employees are forced to work with broken systems to complete menial tasks. There are little to no opportunities to move up and little effort is put towards employee development. -Lack of guidance for managers. Most of the managers had no idea what they were doing and had no real managerial experience beyond Deliv. Constant office politics and bickering between managers of teams. -Rampant unequal pay for employees across the board. Pay is also far below industry standards. -Grin and bear it culture - many employees and managers coped with the culture by working from home constantly. -Company will often try to hide the negativity within by putting on a fake smile. HR consultant hired for show... There's a reason why they suddenly had a surge of positive reviews on their Glassdoor...

Pros

So many pros compared to other startups: - Feeling that you are part of something growing that will be big, Amazon driving retails to provide same day service - Really strong female leaders including the CEO and executive team members who are directly influencing the success and profitability of the company - Profitability is strong and the company is very focused on making smart decisions to support this including making data driven decisions but also not just relying on data - Focus on building long lasting connections and sticky relationships using APIs and partnerships that are mutually beneficial - Demand keeps growing and individual contributors can have a great impact in helping this trend - Very strong partnerships and learning opportunities, most notably UPS, opportunity to meet with execs from UPS including Jack Levis who led the ORION project - Employees who enjoy collaboration, don't need to be heroes, and thrive on non-prescriptive work flows will do well

Cons

- As with any startup, there are limited tools employees need to get their job done - Hiring is a challenge in this market and there are some pains surrounding this. - Managing culture is another challenge and there can be some pains surrounding this

Great Team, Great Position in Market and Lots of Growth Ahead!

Pros

+ Deliv is quickly becoming the "go to" leader in the same day delivery space with thousands of clients ranging from local bakeries to national retailers. + The team is passionate, hard-working and very knowledgeable about this rapidly expanding industry. + The culture is evolving but what's clear is that the team places "mission" ahead of "self." It's collaborative and without large egos and selfish agendas. Everyone is focused on building the business. + The company is growing fast but the team is still relatively small compared to the opportunity its chasing so there is plenty of opportunity for personal growth. Everyday, everyone has the opportunity to acquire new skills.

Cons

- Like any fast growing company, Deliv has communication challenges when it comes to internal reporting, roles and responsibilities, etc. but the leadership team has made significant investment in this area in recent months. The investment is beginning to payoff but there's a lot of moving parts to the business that will require further focus and investment in the months ahead.
