I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fun if you're in the right team. Chance to be proactive and get involved in other projects outside of day to day.

    Cons

Progression can be slow. You're at the mercy of a massive organisation with a lot of bureaucracy.

I worked at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Threw great Christmas parties bringing all the network companies under one roof. Clear company communication directly from the CEO/CFO via emails. Great central London location. The brand I worked for was great for training budgets but had to push to make things happen. My colleagues made the environment fun to work every day. Great holiday entitlement and benefits.

    Cons

Once you're no longer any value to the company you be treated very badly. I've seen people let go even with a decent amount of service and get kicked out of the building without saying bye to colleagues. You are expected to work overtime with no extra pay. HR is useless and tells a bunch of lies. No career opportunities unless you worked there for over a decade or on leaderships favourites.

I have been working at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some of the teams within the Dentsu Aegis Edinburgh office do some really great work, and the company holds a fairly impressive roster of clients. The social atmosphere in the office is a very positive one, with an active social committee and decent budgets for events throughout the year. As part of such a huge agency, you have the opportunity to tap into a large amount of learning and development resources.

    Cons

Some areas of the business have a very old school media feel to them, with little interest or ability to address innovation. The pay structure is embarrassing to everyone involved. It is woefully out of date, and is absolutely at odds with the rising cost of living in the city. Senior management have consistently ignored this issue even as the staff has got thinner and thinner due to people leaving to get a huge pay increase. They hide behind the difficulties of the corporate structure to pass the buck to abstract forces in other offices that hold the purse strings, when the reality is that they don't have the strength or willingness to stick their neck out and fight for the people that give so much of their time, and themselves towards the companies success. As part of this there is a feeling that the company (less so actual management individuals, but again this comes back to the corporate buck passing) does not particularly care who it is that works for them, as ling as they are willing to do it for the lowest amount. If their first choice asks for more, they ask second choice and so on till they find someone who is willing to accept the galling pay packet. If they addressed this issue with at least some level of respect for their employees then this would be a great company to work for no question. In spite of all of the cons, I would still recommend this company to someone who is keen to make a start in media and marketing, as long as you aren't afraid to make a move to another company that will pay you fairly once you have learned the ropes.

I worked at Dentsu Aegis Network full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The salary was prompt

    Cons

The people, company, ethos, ethic and everything in between. Totally devoid of diversity within back office functions like legal. Bullying and intimidation from management standard practice. Poor investigation of complaints and grievance procedures. No health and safety policy across locations (only one office). Horrific work environment and no team dynamic/ spirit. Honestly don’t accept a job there unless you want to end up with some form of depression/ mental anguish/ lack of self esteem.
