    • Structured programme with lots of training • Rotational placements across Drax sites, from hydro to thermal • Support provided towards Chartership • Friendly and supportive place to work • Opportunities to work on new and exciting projects

    Strategy is unclear. Biomass is not viable long-term.

    I worked at Drax Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Great exposure to senior leadership. Certain departments are friendly and supportive. Good pension. Lots of varied work and interesting opportunities in the corporate teams. Early finish on a Friday and reasonable work life balance (during non-busy periods).

    Cons

    Don’t know the value of their employees Big division between Power and Corporate Poor management resulting in the loss of many talented people. Senior management have clear preference for certain departments.

    Easy life, stable job and 9-5 hours

    Cons

    Management incompetence. Outdated operational practices and not evidence of career progression in the 5 years i've been there, especially in Customers
