Everyone knows this, but the people at Dropbox are incredibly smart and incredibly friendly.

Great food pre covid. Some teams still work on interesting things. Now fully remote which could be nice

Not a “startup” anymore, and not really an innovative company. Just cutting costs and trying not get noticed by users that forgot they’re still paying.

Pros
There was a lot of fun intern programming planned, and the people were all very nice and supportive. I thought they also did a fantastic job at team-matching. You can tell Dropbox really cares about the people for more than just the work they produce, and value their wellbeing as well.
Cons
The work is mostly virtual, and the reopening plan is shaky. Given, a lot of this is due to COVID, but it may stay like that indefinitely.

Pros
3 meals served daily, with amazing breakfasts and lunches. Interns are usually respected, doing meaningful work that goes into production. Hack week for interns lets people have some time to wind down, do interesting projects and win awards. Standard big tech compensation, with housing, and lots of intern weekend activities. Teammates and fellow interns are very talented.
Cons
Pains of a growing company that must keep moving to stay ahead of competitors or die. Recent stock dips are scary.
