I have been working at DuPont full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Good work life balance, 401K

    Cons

Not enough work to keep busy most of the time. People can be elitist and judgemental. Old arrogant mindset that DuPont is the best, yet that mentality is what brought them to this merger crisis. Management cannot be trusted. If you don't fit into the culture, you are gone. Beware. Job stability is non-existent.

I worked at DuPont for less than a year

    Pros

Friendly work environment, decent pay for large chemical company, and good opportunity to advance quickly within workplace

    Cons

Location in Orange, TX was terrible, you have everything you need in Beaumont, TX (where most engineers lived) but nothing you want, company also hesitant to spend money investing in employees

    Pros

Good benefits; stable company (been around for over 200 years); good people to work with

Bureaucratic culture makes it hard to get things done. Bottom up culture makes standardization and corporate efforts very difficult; Lots of leaders but no "worker bees"
