I worked at Duluth Trading Company part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Duluth had great paid training that was all done from my home. They sent me the computer, I just needed to supply a monitor and high speed internet access. Great employee support and discounts.

    Cons

They require at least one weekend day and during the holidays it can get very busy with long hours (over 40 hours per week).

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Duluth Trading Company full-time for more than a year

    Pros

customer base seems more friendly and happier than in other stores I've worked for. The other employees were pretty nice. We were bought lunch/dinner occasionally for meeting certain goals. Regardless of how things went over in the end, its not a bad place, but definitely not a place to settle into.

    Cons

communication and clarity is really not there. They tend to say whatever works for the time being, even if it contradicts itself later. At time of accepted employment I was under the belief i would receive a review and possible pay increase at the next given time. I signed and had a copy stating so. When that time came, I didn't get one. Only to be told not their long enough. Waited till the next years time frame. Fell at a bad time, but supposedly those reviews and increases pushed back. I asked to still receive mine due to working there 19 mo. I was denied, after they stated no one may get an increase due to circumstances. that would have been another full year.. so i left,. Yet found out others that started at same time got an increase. All this after I was undee the impression due to my signed acceptance and letter stating I would get at least get a review, I was given no review and no increase. I feel misled and pretty bummed considering you required to wear their clothing, even with discount is expensive, yet they don't back the employees by not only following thru on what they represented, but minimal acknowledgment of how hard you try. There is no incentive if your not evolving in the company.
