Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Dune London full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
50% discount, uniform allowance, holiday allowance and the staff I worked with
Cons
The pay needs to be more especially with the amount of work one had to do as a member of management Give dedicated, hardworking staff a chance to progress in the company over externals Lack of staff in during the week meant you were chasing your own tail Delivery was always a nightmare to put away due to lack of space in the stockroom Working lates especially during Christmas 11 pm closing - but that is retail for you Manager was a bully and unsympatheic

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear you feel this way about the management team, hours and wages. Regarding development and progression, it is very important to us as a brand and we look to offer a high level of development initiatives at all levels within the business whether it be via our e-learning modules on Duniverse, in store training or the high level of development courses available on our training calendars, that we have in place in all areas of the business. I can also assure you that we regularly review our salary bandings for our stores to ensure that they are competitive and in line with other retailers. In addition to this we understand that from time to time we do ask our teams to work additional hours to cover absence and peak trading time however, this should always be on a voluntary basis and in line with the availability that all staff provide us with during their interview process. Kind Regards The HR Team

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Dune London part-time for more than 3 years
Pros
-Probably the 50% discount & Uniform. They updated their prehistoric ways of doing it but yet again it could be improved other companies have apps etc Dune had none of that -A pro is that if you worked there you will be GRATEFUL once you work anywhere else and know how humans are meant to be treated and how puny and small the people working there must be to treat other the way they do. -Pro is also that if you're reading this you know know to turn down any offer of a job there.
Cons
-Lots of work to the pay which is peanuts! -Rude managers. -Awful uniform, sales staff walk around looking like dominoes. -Robotic service -Awful products customers complain about -Chaotic system for everything and with no one to listen. -Disgusting treatment for Area Managers who think they're above everything and treat you like Trash AREA 1 in particular. -Music that hardly every get's update and is bound to drive you mad. -Ridiculous IT, every other company is bounds ahead with systems for getting shoes and stock -Worst Customers in certain area, they have throw shoes hit staff accused managers of racism because of dune's cheap china made shoes that break easily and their return policies -Progression is based on favouritism -it's 2019 but in 2018 company had NO DIVERSITY up top, mostly white managers and hardly any POC in Management. Lot's of Microaggressions -Sickness and Mental Health THEY DON'T CARE. -No company benefits

Many thanks for your feedback. We’re so glad to hear you liked working with Dune! As you will know our people are very important to us. From feedback we have received, our staff discount is one our most attractive benefits. We are glad to hear you also made use of the generous uniform allowance available to our Retail colleagues. We are a brand with a lot of exciting growth plans for the future but it’s so important to us that we make sure our Solus and Concession staff are well looked after and feel supported in their roles. We encourage our employees to demonstrate our open and honest value when discussing matters of concern with their managers (or in this case Area Managers) so that we can advise and support without delay. If you would like to discuss some of the points you have raised in your review, you may reach out to our HR department to discuss these further. Kind regards, Dune

Pros

"I hate my job"
Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Dune London full-time
Pros
It's hard to remember the pros as there are so many cons, I would say the discount, 50% off shoes £60 off uniform shoes (bearing in mind shoes are average £80 for a good pair).
Cons
MANY. You work like a dog for horrible managers who expect so much for you and you earn peanuts. There have been so many cuts to staff (when I started there were 15 of us now there are 9) and yet you are expected to run around for 3 people and give great customer service. There is so much pressure it is unbelievable!! I cry at least once a week about my job and there are so many people like me. Everyone is leaving the company, everyone hates it.
