Pros
Dunelm has done everything possible to make working with a disability possible for me. I was unable to do the role I originally applied for due to finding it too physically demanding so my role has been changed, my hours are flexible, and reasonable adjustments have been made to make sure I'm comfortable and able to do my job. I feel valued as a member of staff and could not ask for better treatment.
Cons
Some job roles seem understaffed

Pros
Some of the younger co workers and other sales assistants are lovely and can really relate to how you feel!! One day at the weekend was also really good.
Cons
The worst, most unprofessional management ever. Some managers wouldn’t even look at you, never gave you holidays, certain group of management are bullies and will make comments about your personal life and can make going there feel like you are in a “high school.” Managers would make you fill out forms on your experience at the company with them, one of the managers done it on my phone without my permission. Managers would also swear and shout at you on occasion and made you feel like no matter what you done you were not doing the job well. Certain members of staff also believed themselves to be management and bossed everyone around and at times it could actually come across aggressive.

Pros
I really feel like my contribution is valid, and i have a sense of purpose. I feel like management have listened to me and have implemented things that i have suggested will help us move forward, and i am very much valued. My work life balance is excellent, and it's a company full of genuinely nice people.
Cons
Retail are not high payers so you have to understand this before joining, however I have had a pay rise each year alongside being reviewed against my objectives. I would also like to see better joining up of departments, but i have seen improvements in making this better.

Pros
Vast team with plenty to do so spend very little time twiddling thumbs. Team are friendly and helpful
Cons
Not so much in the way of training or mentorship when first joined, can take a while to find you way around the store or where everything goes as sometimes things are not where expected to be (an example not all green curtains are in the same isle)

Pros
Colleagues and the location is good. I like my management team in my local store. Most of the issues come from upper management and head office who have clearly never worked in a coffee shop before
Cons
Often left alone. Only given half an hour to close down pausa alone. We then fail audit because paperwork has not been done to a strict time schedule. Paperwork is the last of my worries when I’m trying to close down multiple pieces of equipment and clean the floor in only 30 minutes. The equipment is not good enough for the amount of food items they expect us to make. Upper management don’t give my store enough hours for pausa colleagues thus we are left alone.

Pros
Dunelm stands out as a remarkable workplace, serving as a convergence point for individuals hailing from diverse global backgrounds. As an immigrant, I am fortunate to discover an environment that not only nurtures a profound sense of comfort and security among my peers but also promotes a strong sense of belonging. The managerial team, in particular, not only exemplifies politeness but also consistently demonstrates an unwavering dedication to actively facilitating the advancement of their employees' careers. This harmonious and supportive atmosphere truly makes Dunelm an outstanding place to work.
Cons
One area that could benefit from improvement is the compensation structure. It would be greatly appreciated if adjustments were made to align salaries more appropriately with the responsibilities and contributions of individuals across various departments. This would undoubtedly enhance overall job satisfaction and motivation.
