Had an interview, and got a job offer the same day which I was excited about. Started two weeks later after quitting my part-time job. One day in, I quickly realise there is barely any work for me to do, which I bring to the attention of many of my seniors and trainers. Nothing improved; I'd occasionally be given made up tasks, which I spent hours doing... only to be told "you can bin that" when presenting the papers.
Two weeks later, one of the directors calls me into the office and tells me I'm not what they're looking for, there's not enough work for me, and they've got future plans for the business (which required making me redundant). I asked why they'd hire me if there was no work to do, to which I got an unsatisfactory response followed by "I know it's a bit of a kick in the teeth, but these things happen. We'll pay you for your two weeks, and perhaps we'll meet again one day" ...No, we won't.
Oh, they also said "you're not loud enough". I didn't realise jobs recruited for shouting contests rather than to get work done.
