    Pros

You will work hard and often long hours as an activity leader. However it is lots of fun and there is a good team vibe always built. Would recommend for anyone looking to develop in a fast paced environment

    Cons

Long Hours Shift Work Lots of ambiguity

Respect your employees more and put processes/training in place so people actually know what they are doing.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at EF Education First for more than 5 years

    Pros

Management responsibilities from young ages Promotion can be easy if you know the right people Meet people from all over the world Embrace the culture (it's fun and hard working) Lots of opportunity for creative ownership Great levels of responsibility

    Cons

Long hours Low wage Poor communication Training insufficient for those not used to the company Residence costs (you shouldn't have to have money taken from your wage if you have to live at a place of employment as part of your job requirement) If it's not the right team mix - the support can be awful Too many managers who are not experienced enough Blame culture Unless you are deemed interesting it's unlikely you'll move on from senior staff Recruitment the past two years has been poor

    Advice to Management

More focus on supporting your summer teams - lack of this has resulted in staff members walking out. Take responsibility for your own actions rather than blaming new staff that you chose to hire and not train efficiently. Also if you have returning staff don't 'black list them' for not being available on certain dates if they have incredible reviews from previous summers. Focus on the issues within before you cast aside new talent.
