Thanks very much for sharing your experience. It’s always great to learn that employees enjoy the working environment and felt that they had clear development throughout their careers with us. I’m sorry to hear that there was not as high of satisfaction with creating work-life balance and with management. If you would like to share further thoughts on this, please feel free to email: teacher.feedback@ef.com. Thanks again for your review.

    Pros

Great colleagues Good work environment. Amazing offices

    Cons

At times there can be too much bureaucracy, and lack of communication. There is lack of transparency on career progression Management also feels lost in problems without focus in the big problems Products keep rebuilding the wheel without internal communication

Fantastic work environment with lots of opportunities to travel and meet amazing people. Alot of pride in their company culture and always felt supported in my role.

I worked at EF Education First

    Pros

-Meeting great people from different cultures. -Rewarding work. -Fun work environment.

    Cons

Poor working conditions: -Pay is less than minimum wage when you take into account the extra hours you are expected to work -Very long working hours (over 70 hrs per week) -You are supposed to receive one day off per week. This often does not happen, because EF do not employ enough cover, and you end up working an extra day for no extra pay. Numerous issues with the way the kids are treated: - Pressure to sell "extras" to kids feels very immoral and reflects wider culture that feels like the EF senior management only cares about getting money out of the kids' pockets. - Pressure on each centre to receive good feedback leads to the kids being manipulated into providing high feedback scores. - The kids pay a lot of money to come to EF and the company cuts a lot of corners to save money. They try to cover this up with "EF branding" and "EF sparkle".
