I have been working at EF Education First full-time for less than a year

    Pros

They promise a nice work environment

    Cons

Here's the thing: they never reveal salaries until the very last minute and only if you ask. For Latin American customer service, you will work in afternoon to night shifts. Regular salary is a little bit more than 11 euros per hour, 25% more at night and Sundays. Not all the weeks you'll work 40 hours so you can end up with less than 900 euros at the end of the month in a low stage of the business. No growth opportunities,...

    Advice to Management

Be transparent about work conditions and you'll get people really interested, not highly disappointed at the end of the freaking long groupal interview.

I worked at EF Education First full-time for less than a year

    Pros

EF has an amazing team of teachers. The sense of camaraderie and support is undeniable and makes the work environment thoroughly enjoyable.

    Cons

It's not necessarily a con but there's a range of general English and specialized classes which will stretch your teaching skills. Extra CPD support is provided however.

I worked at EF Education First full-time

      Pros

Great work environment and made the transistion to China very easy. Any problems from finding apartments, visas, to losing my cell phone were always taken care of by a native who was willing to take persona time to help.

      Cons

Long hours, vacations days were often blocked off during affordable travel dates.

      Advice to Management

Spread responsibility out between teachers. It’s not fair just because you’re the best teacher you have to work more classes than someone else.
