    Pros

    Advice to Management

take the time to identify the motivating factors for all your people large or small and be prepared to flex the 'contract' to suit those

I worked at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get paid time off for study and exams (as long as you pass first time).

It's a good brand to have on your CV, and it will open doors after you leave.

Working in a regional office, you may get better exposure and experience on smaller projects than you would in London.

    Cons

The pay is quite poor prior to qualifying.

The bureaucracy and corporate hierarchy isn't for everyone.

A lot of the best people leave shortly after qualifying, as internal opportunities are not as easy to come by as it is made out.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on actually investing in people rather than just talking about it for branding purposes.

    Pros

The culture and quality of people. It is an inclusive and positive culture with very few people that are hard to get on with. Politics are low for an organisation this size.

    Cons

Management inconsistency and decision making. The firm aspires to create long term profitable growth but compromises when short term revenue targets are under pressure. In my view, it should work harder to live by its own purpose statement of Building a Better Working World.

    Advice to Management

    See above.
