I have been working at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High importance placed on team quality and hugely varied experiences and opportunities. You can style your own career and generally promotions are quite fast paced.

    Cons

There are long hours as standard (particularly within the Investment Banking Sector) and there is constant change. You have to be ok with not always knowing where you will be working the following week.

    Advice to Management

Keep staff informed of change and find a way to make staff more aware of all the project opportunities and possibilities that are out there for a more self sustaining resourcing model.

I worked at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Joined on the graduate scheme and got a lot of learning opportunities in the 2 years that you wouldnt get at a smaller firm. Also got a lot of exposure to senior management, but that was by virtue of being in a small technical team, and not one of the massive Performance Improvement/Operations teams.

    Cons

The 'firm' doesn't care about people, even though some individuals do. There is a decent culture for such a big firm but it's not for someone looking to be hand held through.

    Advice to Management

pay more attention to your people, as they are your asset

I worked at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good supportive culture
    - Big firm with benefits to match
    - Hours aren't too bad
    - Lots of interesting / respectful / dynamic people

    Cons

The company is too large in general, and that makes it difficult to feel like you get a chance to impress or stand out (particularly with regards to promotions / bonus / pay)
