You shouldn't believe what you hear about this place

      Pros

      - Focus on flexible working. Particularly in health team, flexible working is encouraged at all levels. This has greatly improved work life balance. - Clear career path - opportunity to be promoted at any time of the year. 2 line managers to guide you - Dedicated to doing good work. Standards are high, but you would expect that from the biggest agency in the world. - Creative thinking is championed

      Cons

      - If you are looking for a job where you can cruise and do very little work, it is not the place for you. You will get back from this job as much as you put in - if you are ambitious and want to excel in your career, this agency will help you do that.

Company genuinely cares about its people

      Pros

Edelman is a progressive and innovative organisation with a very dynamic structure and workforce. The company also takes employee feedback seriously and uses this to help improve working conditions. This comes from a place of sincerity, as they do genuinely care about their employees, both personally and professionally. A rarity in this era of sycophancy and vacant promises. This means they gave you ample opportunity to develop your skillset and work flexibly, something which I am immensely grateful for.

      Cons

The recent redundancies were a kick in the teeth, and have unfortunately undermined trust in Richard Edelman and other senior leaders. Also, the work-life balance does vary, but like many have mentioned it is more than manageable.

      Pros

Nice offices in convenient location. Flexible working policy and generous annual leave. Some really nice people in the company. Clear career progression and ample opportunity for learning and training.

      Cons

Poor management and lack of communication. Poor work-life balance and false sense of urgency. Low pay. No culture within teams, but that may depend on the team.

A good start, but a sad ending

      Pros

Great place to get stuck in and learn, because if you show that you're good at your job you'll end up being treated like a carthorse. The people you work with on a day to day basis within your team is the best element - I made some lifelong friends, I was sad to see many of them made redundant recently.

      Cons

The senior team are arrogant and not supportive. You enter a sink or swim culture that doesn't reward you, even if you do swim. If you're deemed not good enough, you're left to flounder with no help. As a mid level member of the team it astounded me often people wouldn't receive support. The work life balance is appalling; you can push back as much as you want, but nobody listens. You'll easily end up doing 70h+ per week which is horrendous by any agency's standards. I find it astounding the company consistently appears in the top places to work lists; they do an excellent job of getting staff to fill out the surveys to show the company in a positive light. I am sure it is good for the senior management (those who have not been made redundant in the past 12 months) but for the Account Execs - Account Managers, it is terrible.
