I have been working at Edinburgh Napier University full-time

    Pros

Decent money for the work, staff are friendly enough

    Cons

4 x 12 hour shifts, then 4 days off - lot of time. It does bring the wage up, but there isn't much to do

I worked at Edinburgh Napier University full-time

    Pros

Is a good environment in general with nice and friendly staff in the main. Good rates of pay for work done.

    Cons

Some staff definitely have an easy set up with no drive for improvement and increased commitment. More career enhancements for high performing staff and talent within organisation Some of the support services poor and can be improved Senior management need to be visible and demonstrating improved results

    Advice to Management

Focus on making the student experience the best, focus on bringing new staff into organisation to deliver change and improve results across key performance indicators

I worked at Edinburgh Napier University

    Pros

Napier is a fun University to work at and the other staff are friendly and fair. Generally a good place I would recommend

    Cons

Academically it is not very strong and there can be a lack of others who are really committed to academic research. But this would depend on department obviously.
