I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very conscious of supporting and empowering their staff, a strong drive to improve work life balance and keep stress low. If you like sports and racing games then very exciting project opportunities.

    Cons

Bureaucratic, management heavy. Over complicated, top heavy company structure and more meetings than you would believe sensible. If you don’t like sports and racing games then very few exciting project opportunities. Drive to distributed development making relatively straightforward projects manifestly more difficult and expensive to execute.

I have been working at Electronic Arts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There is an open environment to work and have a casual attitude towards dressing. Priority is definitely given to work life balance.

    Cons

Too much of gaming, if you are not into it then you get bored of the same discussion every time. Also the work can get too repetitive at times.

    Pros

They pay well while you are there

    Cons

They will enslave you; no work-life balance. The money you earn buys you only a cushion for when they will fire you or disband your studio.

I worked at Electronic Arts full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get a sense the company cares about their employees. The campus facilities and benefits are great. The gyms, arcade rooms, cafeteria, post office, rooftop patios, and events are wonderful. The campus feels like a university than a workplace so the transition from student to employee was smooth. You can bring dogs to work and they boost the morale of the team. Overtime is paid. They offer services where you can schedule a haircut, get a car wash, get some guitar lessons, etc. that allows you to worry less and focus on work. The work-life balance is perfect. Everything you have to worry outside of work are taken care of or aided which makes working here memorable. You also will meet very talented and intelligent people and it is amazing to work with them. I am also very proud how progressive they are. They are vocal with their support for LGBTQA+ and the campus is environmentally friendly.

    Cons

Even though the company tries to create an amazing work environment, the culture can be upsetting. It is very cliquish and may feel like highschool. There seems to be a hierarchy in the art department and some employees will ignore you based on the team you are in. It is not something you expect at a workplace. The RFTs also understand their power dynamic so they might make some unpleasant jokes. One incident was after work, me and the other newcomers bumped into the group of RFTs on our way out of the building. One of the managers from a different art department said, "Shoo. You don't belong with us." Another incident is one of my seniors would joke "Sit with us or we won't hire you back" during lunch.
