RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Emap full-time for more than a year
Pros
- Good brands, - Great culture, - Easy to stand out and do well if you're a proper sales person.
Cons
Many of the sales people are order takers. Waiting for the phone to ring, living off of inbound leads and sitting on well established accounts, simply renewing them each year and not able to prospect for new business. This can be frustrating as management only see the numbers and not what has gone into each sale.

Pros
I had a successful employment at Emap. Made some good friends climbed the corporate ladder somewhat and got a better job with my experience.
Cons
- The company has had a series of downgrades in software and systems in line with cost cutting measures. This has made it difficult for employees to work let alone be successful. - Pay is always an issue and never a motivation. - Commission is always challenged by senior management, even when there is no need to, as they don't want to pay out on achievement. Now they just make targets unreachable in order to avoid having to pay them. - There is never any budget for marketing and yet all sales expenses are covered regardless of success.
