Pros
Rewarding and fun to work with the kiddos. You can build great rapport with the families as well, and it’s enjoyable to see them. Requesting time off is pretty easy.

Poor communication by the office/supervisors (sometimes)
No pay for family cancellations
Some supervisors micromanage when they come to your sessions, which can be a pain when you’re trying to work with your kiddo and you have someone in your ear telling you what to say and do.
Paid holidays for office associates, supervisors and case managers, but not for BI’s. Instead you can choose to work on a holiday and get paid extra, or take the day off with no pay. Seems unfair.
Office does not deal with family issues in a timely manner or in a professional way. I’ve had some families come to me with issues that continuously happen over and over again.
Scheduling is all over the place. They will move your schedule around however they want, with no warning and expect you to be okay with it.
