Pros

If you want to be involved in a hyper growth area with a smart team then AppThis is a great company. We don't do politics here and people are treated as adults. Its a meritocracy which means that you could publically fail as well as succeed. Get stuck in and contribute and you will be rewarded and recognised.

Cons

The fact we are split across three timezones is a weakness as well as a strength. If you are looking to do a 9-5 with a rule book on how to follow "procedure" then this isn't the place for you. As mentioned, by some other reviewers, we rely on technology not number of staff sto scale so the company is not the best place for aspiring mid managers.....

Pros

Great office, great but overall standard tech perks

Cons

Completely disorganized when it comes to senior management CTO was still technically an engineer vs management role They had an office in Israel that no one heard much from until one of the managers came to Denver. He was incredibly sexist, demanding, and seemed to have the final say in everything. I was hired to report directly to the CTO, upon his arrival he demanded I report to him and I was directly I told if I do not feel "comfortable" with that I will continue to report to the CTO. I said it makes more sense for me to report to CTO considering I am a Scrum Master and work with the engineering team here in Denver and do not know the person who just flew in and am not aware of his role. All I knew that he was on the Product side. He made completely inappropriate sexual comments to me during a one on one but I did not even say anything about that. The CTO told me he is completely happy for me to continue to report to him. 2 days later I was called into a small office with the HR person and the CTO. They told me I was being let go and asked for me to hand everything over and that by law in Colorado they do not have to tell me why they are letting me go. Really? I am pretty sure I knew why.
