Pros

If nothing else, it’s a masterclass in what not to do when building a company.

Cons

• Toxic leadership: The CEO micromanages everything, constantly shifts priorities, and creates a culture of fear. Constructive feedback is unwelcome — dissent is punished. • Fake reviews: The pattern is clear — any negative review is followed quickly by a batch of suspiciously glowing ones. Don’t be fooled. • Forced silence: Employees are pressured into signing agreements that forbid them from saying anything negative about the CEO or company — including on Glassdoor. • No real business model: After nearly a decade, there’s still little to no meaningful revenue, customer traction, or product-market fit. It’s all talk and internal spin. • Chronic turnover: The company churns through talent constantly. Most hires leave within months, once they realize the dysfunction is baked in.

Pros

Arootah has been a rewarding place to continue to build my career, and I have worked with the founder for years. What stands out most is that the team is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely invested in each other's success. I consider myself fortunate to collaborate with leaders and colleagues who are genuinely always willing to share knowledge and help when needed. The sharing of knowledge allows the entire team to focus on firm priorities and contribute to those priorities in a meaningful way which fosters opportunities for professional growth and development. One thing I particularly appreciate is the encouragement of creativity and innovative ideas. Employees are trusted to think independently, contribute solutions, and make a real impact while maintaining ambitious standards. It is an environment where innovation is valued rather than discouraged. At Arootah you learn from you past contributions, you live in today and give your best effort and look forward to what is ahead. Leadership is invested in propelling the firm forward which generates excitement about opportunities ahead. Arootah’s focus remains on the future-of-work readiness. Staying ahead of evolving workplace trends, technologies, workforce expectations, and business demands will remain important so Arootah can remain competitive and resilient.

Cons

Not always getting acknowledged for a contribution immediately following it if you are the type of employee who expects recognition in a timely fashion. However, that acknowledgement will present itself when you least expect it. Patience is a virtue and those that have it will thrive at Arootah.

Pros

The commute to the Manhattan office was at least manageable and did not add unnecessary time to the day.

Cons

- The role was presented clearly during interviews with defined compensation, support structure, and responsibilities, but that reality did not last even a few weeks. - Soon after starting, compensation details were changed, support was reduced, and the actual job no longer matched what was originally described. - Major parts of the position shifted without warning, leaving no stability or trust in what was promised - Early assumptions that things would settle proved wrong as nothing improved even after months in the role - High turnover from other sales executives reflected the same pattern of broken expectations and frustration - Constant shifting of targets and conditions made it impossible to rely on anything that was originally agreed upon
