Pros
With everything going on in the world, my onboarding experience with Aviat has been nothing short of exceptional. From providing my at-home setup to scheduling introductory meetings with all the relevant department heads, I felt fully prepared to take on the role. Having started right out of college, I embraced a new industry and was prepared to be the best asset to Aviat I could. Given the situation, it was comforting to know Aviat was committed to maintaining normal operations, even going as far as looking to grow during this time. Everyone welcomed me with open arms. Beyond that, within the first 3 month I was handling major clients, including participating in state-wide installations. It felt great to know my managers were confident in my ability, but also there for support whenever I might need it. During my time at Aviat, both my manager and leaders encouraged me to look for ways to better my role, empowering me to initiative with team wide process changes. I appreciated their willingness to consider and support my suggestions. Overall, it's been a great experience. I would recommend pursuing a career at Aviat for anyone looking to learn, connect, and grow. With employees around the world, there are endless opportunities in a variety of fields. I look forward to seeing what is in store for me at Aviat.
Cons
Not really a con, but I'm sad I won't be able to meet all my co-workers in person just yet, in Austin. Aviat has done everything they can to make the virtual experience worth while, but I am excited to one day be in office with everyone!
