I worked at BT Financial Group for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay master from contract perspective.

    Cons

I had worked here twice as a contractor so I am qualified enough to make insightful comments about the organisation. Work life balance is pathetic. Lots of rogue entities here. Outsourced software vendors have spoiled the work environment. Dirty politics is rampant. Any one in the team, especially the business analysts, scrum masters etc. can spread rumors about you, give false or misleading information about your performance to the managers and they will believe it without a single fact check. What surprised me to the core, was the fact that some stake holders who were not at all involved in day to day project activities are given a liberty to spread this sort of misleading and fake info and malign your credibility. Lots of silos, also, can be seen here which hold back critical information from new joiners for their own benefit. Same silos are responsible for running a smear campaign against the new joiners/even contractors for their own benefit. Avoid joining this organisation. Keep it as a last resort in case if you don't find anything worthwhile. The same problem is seen in the parent organisation (Westpac). I have briefly worked with them as well.
