Pros
I love that everyone works hard, and doesn't have to be micro-managed or mandated to do so. We have a great team of motivated people here that do this because they truly love it. We're doing things that haven't really been done before, so that innovation fuels us to find even better solutions. I guess that's both a perk and something that can be a challenge if you aren't ready for it. The office is pretty casual, not only in terms of management style, but in our casual dress code too, which makes it easy to express your own style. Our flexible hours are a really great perk too: I don't have to worry about being butt-in-seat at a certain time (unless we have a meeting, a client in office, etc which is to be expected), I can take the time to take care of errands on my lunch when I need to, or if I have other commitments after work I can plan to get my work done and leave a bit early on occasion as long as it's communicated to my team. That kind of trust is rare, and makes me thankful that we work this way. People are really nice at CERTIFY. I know everyone thinks that their company is the best, but we have some of the smartest, kindest, and most helpful employees here! It's great to be part of a team that supports each other.
Cons
I think the only cons are inherent with a start-up environment. Sometimes the resources I need don't exist, but people are always willing to help solve that asap. Sometimes our plate can be overly full, but that's just because we're closing new deals all the time and growth is good! As we fill out our teams, that will even out.
