Pros
- Great CEO - visionary, supportive, encourages learning and advancement.
- Job Security - lots of room to grow for hard-working problem-solvers
- Culture - People-First, supportive, forward-thinking, adaptable
- Learning - will support learning, skills-building, education. Have grown my skills like crazy working here.
- Agile - will take suggestions and actually listen to them. Rewarding for hard-working, driven problem-solvers.
Cons
- "Growing Pains" - trying to grow too fast, poor project management, not enough resources to meet ambitious goals, still very top-down, too many useless meetings
- Uneven Resource Distribution - company leans heavily on key managers and employees, so these people are often overworked, doing multiple jobs unofficially, without clear boundaries or roles. Lots of stress and burnout.
- Mediocre benefits - offer the basics, but you have to work here a long time to get more days off, qualify for 401K (no matching), etc. Backwards, heartless corporate HR policies like 3-month trial period, no holiday pay if you call out before or after a holiday, strict schedule (for some - kind of unequal about enforcing this). Will not give you a raise or performance review unless you ask.
- Poor work/life balance - Lots of stress, always behind on unrealistic amounts of work, not much vacation or flexibility. Have to have good stress management skills and be a workaholic to work here.
