I worked at Ceridian full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Good but not great benefits. Work life balance was the best benefit offered.

Cons

Ceridian dropped 401k match and education reimbursement. No salary increase in past years. Quota driven results were the only recognized effort. Sales direction changes in mid-stream were common. Never a clear vision.

Advice to Management

Business model to incorporate Dayforce into existing benefit client portfolio was a disaster. Diminished administrative support for day to day business.

I have been working at Ceridian full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - They provide you with the best hardware, and the domain experts are in-house.
    - Nice office

    Cons

Management can't wait to cash out. This means long-hours, zero-coding standards (really horrible code-base), and vague specifications. Management has little consideration about how many hours you put in.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees better. 12 hour days are not sustainable.

I have been working at Ceridian full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great location, brand new office space with a funky vibe, good colleagues, new technology and interesting product. Positive to see continued growth after acquisition in this economy. Like the benefits gained from Ceridian.

    Cons

Limited sense of cohesion after acquisition, more red tape which I think could effect the culture of the company. Deadlines need to be more realistic. Need stronger focus on work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

I expect to have long hours in this industry but would appreciate some additional compensation or incentive for beyond excessive hours. Variety of dinner options provided (instead of just pizza) have been nice. More frequent employee reviews with set career path goals would be nice.
