I have been working at Checkout.com full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Here is my honest review - little disclaimer, I am someone who knows his worth, and would not settle for anything less than happiness in the work he does and where he does it. And I think after all these years here, it's time to for me to share my views. Checkout.com is a great place to work. My journey has been one I will never forget. I have not only accomplished many professional goals I genuinely dreamed of at the earliest stages of my career, but I have been able to develop myself personally and learn things about myself I wasn't even aware of. The exciting, and even slightly bizarre thing is that I have so much room to do more, even at this stage of my career here. In my work, there is international exposure on an enormous scale, there are genuinely really good development opportunities and a shared desire across the team to improve in whatever we are doing. In truth, I feel surrounded by smart but even more importantly, nice people who I would happily invite to my CKO-versary celebrations, my birthdays and even my local park during Covid when I need human contact! This company is not just that, it is a community of passionate, driven and kind hearted people, who become real friends. We laugh, achieve and even cry together when s*** hits the fan in our personal life. This company is special, and it's not special because we are the best at everything, it's special because we accept we are not.

    Cons

We need to meet the ambitious targets of the organisation, for me personally, it makes work life balance a challenge. But the danger here is that because myself and others take on so much accountability for the success of the business, our passion can blur the line of when and where a break is needed. We are growing so fast and it is continuous, meaning regardless what position you have in this organisation, if you simply work for the money and/or benefits, you won't enjoy it here. If you want to work with a passion and a purpose in what you do, you could genuinely really like it here.

I have been working at Checkout.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Fast paced company in a great vertical. -Opportunity to actively contribute to company’s growth and help build a business. -Management is there for steadiness but allows for personal decisions and growth (this is NOT a micromanaged company) -Management is very approachable, reasonable and allows employees to stretch. -Great environment for one to learn, grow and spread their wings.

    Cons

-Sometimes information is not delivered in timely manner but that is primarily attributed to the fast pace of the company. Typical growing pains of a fast paced tech company.
