Health and Safety are priority at Chemprene. Our safety programs are extensive and are regularly audited for compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEC and industry standards. PPE is provided and usage is required when handling hazardous material. All employees participate in regular safety training.
The plant is a hot environment due to the nature of our manufacturing processes. Machines use heat and pressure to cure material resulting in hot summer days. This is discussed at length during the hiring process and site tour for potential candidates.
Chemprene offers many opportunities for cross training and promotion. Numerous members of management have been promoted from production positions and employees are incentivized to cross train and learn new things.
Our tuition reimbursement program affords opportunity to employees motivated to further their education and skills.
I was the EHS Manager for over 2 years here at Chemprene. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this facility. EHS is serious business at any facility, and I always felt that mutual respect through all levels of the organization. As a manager I always felt I was trusted and given the ability to make improvements and changes to the programs I managed. Open door policy and flexibility when necessary was never an issue during my time here. The Chemprene manufacturing process is fascinating with much growth potential into the future.
Cons
Older facility and equipment brings challenges to everyday production. BUT, there has been a lot of investment in newer equipment and talented new employees coming on that will show the improvements in 2024.
