Health and Safety are priority at Chemprene. Our safety programs are extensive and are regularly audited for compliance with OSHA, EPA, DEC and industry standards. PPE is provided and usage is required when handling hazardous material. All employees participate in regular safety training. The plant is a hot environment due to the nature of our manufacturing processes. Machines use heat and pressure to cure material resulting in hot summer days. This is discussed at length during the hiring process and site tour for potential candidates. Chemprene offers many opportunities for cross training and promotion. Numerous members of management have been promoted from production positions and employees are incentivized to cross train and learn new things.
