I have been in a situation where HR felt more like a roadblock than a support system. My colleagues were great, but the HR team? It felt like they existed just to redirect every issue back to reporting managers, it makes you wonder what their actual purpose is.
I was promised a designation change after 3 months, then it was pushed to 6, and eventually denied, don’t know the reason, it’s frustrating when you work hard and honestly, but promises aren’t kept, and there is no accountability. Who is really responsible when things go wrong, HR, The CCO, or the reporting manager? Or do they just ignore it all ?
