Pros

Steady work, long standing established company, management is approachable and listens. Average pay for the market in this area. In addition, a large portion of my health and dental insurance premiums were subsidized by CMC, which made my premiums reasonable. My regional manager was great! She was approachable, honest, ethical and had integrity. She expected a days work for a days pay. Not too much to ask unless you're just lazy! She was patient and always replied to me quickly and in a highly professional manner. My compliance trainer was also excellent. She helped me understand the "ins and outs" of all the lengthy paperwork and made it fun (almost). I saw the rant by another former employee and was very disappointed. I had the same regional manager and she is above reproach. CMC is a business that contracts with owners of properties to manage "their" properties on a fee basis. This means that budgets are not plentiful with huge amounts of surplus dollars. If a better opportunity presented itself with this company I would certainly take it in to consideration.

Cons

Working out in the field can have its disadvantages. I.e. Unsafe, no 401k. HUD and the many agencies involved in the housing industry can always find a way to add to the load of paperwork.

Set own hours, not micro managed

Cons

Benefits are terrible- outrageous health insurance premiums, no 401k, 7 paid holidays, no merit raises
