Pros

It is incredibly satisfying to work for a company where the customers genuinely love the product. The Excel-native approach just works for finance teams, which makes our jobs much easier. Hyper-growth company which provides opportunities for career advancement

Cons

None to report. We are moving very fast, so you need to be comfortable with change, but that is expected in a successful start-up.

Pros

Positive work/life balance when I'm off, I am completely off. The remote schedule let me relocate to better my life to a more affordable cost of living area. Everyone in the organization feels like we're working towards something groundbreaking and inspiring. Managers set achievable goals for all their team members.

Cons

Leadership can hold things close to the chest which can have a hand in making some employees feel unsure about job security.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for highlighting the flexibility, work/life balance, and collaborative culture you’ve found at Datarails. We’re especially glad to hear that our remote-first environment has had a meaningful positive impact on your quality of life. We also appreciate your comments about the team and managers. Building an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and connected to meaningful work is incredibly important to us, particularly as we continue innovating in the FP&A and AI space. At the same time, we recognize your feedback regarding communication and uncertainty. In fast-moving growth environments, balancing transparency with evolving business decisions can be challenging, and we continue working to improve clarity and communication across the organization. Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of the journey.

Pros

Not much to be honest.

Cons

A poster had mentioned layoffs below and got roasted by the response and yet, here we are again with layoffs. The C level management ego is only bypassed by their incompetence particularly the CEO and CRO. Neither of them has any touch with reality, they could care less about their people unless you are one of the favorites as others have noted. DR is a if you are liked at the whim of the ceo and/or cro you can do ok, if not, you will be buried. There is no response DR is going to say that is going to be able to contradict that. In fact, you can scroll down and see their response to when layoffs were brought up last time. The hypocrisy and constant change is comical. I get that it's still startup life and the only constant is change... that is to be expected, but the fact that it's always at the expense of good people who in fact have performed just because they aren't one of their people is just an awful way to run a company and their recent results reflect that.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We recognize that strong opinions often emerge during periods of change, particularly when business decisions affect individuals directly. At Datarails, decisions related to organizational structure, hiring, and workforce adjustments are driven by evolving business priorities, market realities, and long-term company goals - not by favoritism or personal preference. In a high-growth environment, those decisions can be difficult and are never made lightly. We also recognize that fast-moving companies require leaders and teams alike to adapt continuously, and while change can be uncomfortable, it is often necessary to position the business responsibly for what comes next. That includes making thoughtful adjustments when priorities shift, even when those choices are hard. Feedback regarding leadership, communication, and culture is taken seriously, and we continue working to strengthen clarity, consistency, and the employee experience as the company evolves. While not every individual experience will reflect the same view, many employees continue to build meaningful careers here and contribute significantly to our growth. We appreciate your feedback and wish you success in your next chapter.
