Pros
The work-life balance was actually pretty solid - they were generally respectful of your schedule and didn't call you in last minute all the time like some retail places do. The product knowledge you gain is useful, especially if you're into workwear or that kind of thing, and the employee discount was nice to have. The actual day-to-day tasks weren't too stressful either - straightforward retail stuff without too much pressure.
Cons
Management could be hit or miss depending on who was working that day. Sometimes you'd get clear direction and support, other times it felt like you were just kind of left to figure things out on your own. Communication wasn't always the best - you'd find out about new policies or changes kind of randomly instead of through proper channels.
