There’s a paycheck. The other employees are nice.
Cons
- Owner talks bad about employees and clients. - Owner occasionally curses directly at employees (and clients). - No direction is given on projects and you’re expected to figure it out, yet get belittled when you make a decision that isn’t what he would do. - Owner micro-manages projects, and gets annoyed when random check-ins don’t look finished. - Owner is constantly annoyed that he has to do other people’s jobs instead of his own (could be remedied by better project planning, and trusting employees and not micromanaging them) - Owner doesn’t trust employees to do good work... so we end up doing things the way he wants and then he wants to copy what another company is doing (without understanding the strategy behind it) - Owner will pretty much have you dictate notes and design changes whenever he decides to swing by (and then may question you the next day on why you made that decision). - Owner blames old lost clients on former employees. - Owner doesn’t seem very kind to anyone... - most of the people that are still there have been there for a while and shrug it all off, most of the new people quit within 6 months.
