Pros

Great people to work with. Most of your co-workers are young professionals. You will become great friends with you start class. Also, the company does a great job of on the job training as well as CPE classes.

Cons

Heavy work load during busy season.

Advice to Management

Encourage associates to stick it out.

    I worked at EY full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Exposure to various area within banking which provides good learning experiences for future roles.

    Office is evenly split among those that like/dislike travel. People that enjoy travel are road warriors while those that do not like travel are almost always in the office. Speak to your scheduling coordinator regarding your preference.

    Several happy hours, conference calls and internal initiatives attend after work hours are complete giving you a chance to network with others although discussions are typically only about work.

    Having EY on your resume will result in a lot more phone calls from recruiters.

    Cons

    Excessive hours, especially for those that travel. Cliques exist between those that do not travel and those that do making it difficult to meet the other group.

    Up or out mentality which may be difficult to manage when there is obvious favoritism.

    Constant push to join internal initiatives and attend happy hours. While it is nice, often involve evening work or leading to excessive consumption by many.

    Advice to Management

    With plans to double by 2020, ensure that a work/life balance exists. Employees are often worn down from the workload the past few years.
