Strong Platform, Team, Vision - Executive Elemental Machines Employee Review

I have worked at dozens of tech companies over the years. I also run a culture consulting firm, so my antenna are very tuned-in to find issues with culture. I can say, without hesitation, that the culture at EM is the best of any company I've worked at. I literally found nothing I would suggest fixing. When I was working there, the team was primarily remote. Everyone was extremely kind. The contribution of the team was always valued over the contribution of the individual. Supporting each other came naturally. Bosses were extremely reasonable and, in fact, made our jobs easier by shielding us from upper-level noise. (Though senior management was great as well.). We tracked lots of metrics, but none were ever put onto an individual. As I mentioned, if the team was doing well as a whole, we celebrated that. If not, we worked, as a team, to improve. I was a technically a full-time contractor, but was embedded within a team the same as if I were an employee.

While I love working from home, this was such a great group of people, that I wish there were more of an office culture so I could hang out with them more!

Excellent products that are easy to use and self-install.

Constant layoffs and restructurings. Overall weak and poor leadership from the top down. Senior leaders were let go for creating toxic work environments.
