Pros

They pay salary on time. No one questions you for taking leaves even last minute The managers are professional and won't use foul language

Cons

Having worked with this company for 5 years, it's a shame that it only took 6 months in 2025 for it to fall from grace and squander everything built over the last 35 years. There is so much change that's happened for the worse since the new leadership came in post the retirement of the ceo that it looks unlikely for it to get out of the deep waters it is in. The company acquired a new research group in the last 18 months which had no synergy with the existing lines of business. That was obvious to everyone but the leadership. Now its a huge burden draining resources and not brining revenue and creating chaos. The new instead of being pragmatic and cutting off the bad organ has done everything else with the sunk fallacy. Trying to save costs in other places by firing people indirectly (by giving poor ratings), curbing travel, freezing hiring. The other misplaced bet is on AI. The leadership expects it to double the revenue for the firm while it has been eating the company's business model and revenue. There is pressure to grow the revenue but no one has a clue on how. The leadership roles feel like sales role where the only expectation is to bring revenue by selling sub-standard advisory. They need to face realities and understand AI isn't a silver bullet. The firm also understands that they've made poor hiring decisions in the past by compromising on the quality but can't fix the salaries and hire proper talent. The ingrown leadership is boxed in its thinking and only know a certain way of working which doesnt work in the current world. It is a small firm but acts like a 10000 people firm. There's always energy to form useless committees but never to get things done. They think asking people to come back to the office is going to magically solve all this problem while having no action plan. The very senior folks in this firm have created a new role for themselves to enjoy pseudo retirement and joined different committees to pretend being busy. Getting a promotion in this company is now probably harder than getting into MIT.

Pros

Working here across multiple roles has been a genuinely rewarding experience. One of the biggest strengths of the company is its culture as people are approachable, collaborative, and there’s very little hierarchy in the way teams interact. It’s one of those rare workplaces where you can reach out to almost anyone across levels, including the CEO, and actually have meaningful conversations without layers of bureaucracy in between. Leadership, in my experience, has always had the right intent and genuinely wants employees to succeed. The company gives you a lot of ownership early on, which can be both challenging and exciting depending on what you’re looking for in your career. If you’re someone who enjoys learning, building relationships, and taking initiative, there are plenty of opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. Another thing I’ve appreciated is the exposure. You get opportunities to work closely with internal stakeholders and clients, build strong relationships, and contribute beyond just your defined role. People who are proactive are usually recognized and trusted with bigger responsibilities fairly quickly. Overall, it’s a great place for people who want to learn, grow, build strong professional relationships, and be nurtured in an entrepreneurial environment where proactiveness and ownership are valued.

Cons

The industry itself is going through a major shift right now, and naturally some work areas and expectations are evolving along with it. The environment can sometimes feel demanding because the company expects employees to stay adaptable, motivated, and continuously innovate. You need to have a go-getter mindset, be comfortable with change, and be willing to take ownership instead of waiting for direction at every step.
