Pros

Laid back for the most part. Nice office gatherings and holiday parties. They make an effort to stock up on snacks for employees and improve benefits, and you can listen to music or podcasts most of the day while you work. Monthly meetings are catered and held to give employees a transparent look at company growth. It's a decent temporary job. Most production staff and customer service employees are amicable and supportive with a good sense of humor. One of the shift leads is dependable and honest without being harsh or making things uncomfortable. I was always grateful for the way he handled difficult situations and how pleasant he made those shifts.

Cons

Friction between employees is handled poorly by management if they address it at all despite placing an ironic amount of focus on "company culture." Employees are constantly encouraged to speak up but are dismissed or punished for doing so. "Optional" overtime was actually mandatory, so you can expect to be given a hard time if you can't be there; while OT paychecks were nice, being expected to do factory work 6 days a week at a fast pace is unrealistic and unsustainable. Rules are unevenly enforced for employees who had friends in management and criticism was directed towards those who worked the hardest while the ones who blatantly slacked off were never spoken to. I will say that at least the plant manager is fairly direct when there's a problem, but unfortunately tended to bring it up during a group meetings in front of everyone rather than pulling you aside weeks earlier to correct your actions. You lose your 15-minute breaks or get sent home early for minor infractions, so it often felt exactly like being in elementary school. HR would also arbitrarily give people the cold shoulder which was kind of unbelievable being that it's ridiculous and childish and the exact opposite of their job. Overall, it sounds good on paper, but it's a toxic workplace with an unnecessary amount of drama for such a small company. While there are some wonderful people there, the inaction and negative behavior of others easily overshadows them. I would never refer a friend there.

Pros

Great benefits. Everyone outside of the upper management team are the best people you'll ever work with. We've built great bonds with a lot crap we've dealt with over the years.

Cons

Fracture has been going down hill for a while now. New CEO was brought in earlier this year, and of course brings in her friends from Crocs. She was brought in as a yes-woman for the board, and to run the management minion team that are all also completely out of touch with the products, customers and Gainesville roots. She and all the uppity people are all from Boston. If you're not in that area, you're basically the lowest level of value in the company and are treated as such. Chief of Staff is a snake and will backstab you if she gets the chance. An amateur in a role that she only received because she was the original CEOs assistant, and doesn't actually care about maintaining the culture this company was built on. Her goal is to be a proxy Bostonian and try to fit in with the upper management team. There's also no diversity in leadership and if you have any aspirations of growth as a person of color - good luck. Any POC management and team members were let go and replaced by white people to run the company, who haven't even done a good job of "bringing the company back". So remember, if you ain't white, you out! Just look at the people who've been here before and notice how many white people in Boston replaced them. The Fracture careers page is full of people who aren't even here anymore. So if you're thinking about applying, remember that all those happy faces you see on the careers page are fake AF because they not here anymore. Being overpriced products for the category it's in makes it challenging to actually grow this company. They've gutted the teams and let go of really great people who contributed to the little success we had this year. This team is no longer the personable and close group is used to be. It's a rough experience for anyone that's left as we don't recognize the company it used to be even just a couple years ago. The magic is gone and they're putting a whole lot of emphasis in Boston staff, and killing off the original Gainesville culture and vibe we had. Remote workers aren't bad, but they they're just bringing in a bunch of people who are puppets to the Boston puppet masters.
