Pros

Great colleagues, very nice and relatable people. The team is small and close-knit, people are friendly (apart from management). The work environment is also pretty good, it's pretty much like any other small startup in NYC.

Cons

Executives and managers do not respect their employees. Senior management will do anything to pay you well below market rates. Some managers will micro-manage you and discard your feedback every step of the way. As an entry-level dev, I didn't feel respected, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of by management. The company has a very high turnover rate and employs mostly entry level people. For this reason it largely does not follow industry best practices and you will find it difficult to grow professionally in this environment. You won't find any expert mentor there to help you improve your craft. Executives also have little principles and little respect for ethics or even the law. You may be asked to do unethical things. That was a huge red flag for me and caused me to leave quickly. In my opinion the business also has little growth perspectives. It has been stagnating for a while and failed to reinvent itself after getting lucky with one game. It was a hit for about one month. Don't go there for the startup "rock ship" experience, you would be severely disappointed.

Pros

The people are awesome. Everyone that I worked with was always happy and nice to each other. We even went out and got beers when we launched and hung out after work.

Cons

Don't expect to do meaningful work as an intern or probably anyone else at a lower position. Each passing day decreased my motivation to work since I was always being given the menial tasks that no one else wanted to do. Once you decide to leave, they will have another intern within the next few weeks to take your spot and repeat the cycle over again. Also, the design team wasn't pushing the envelope on seeking good design. The whole company seemed focused on getting products out, despite ideas lacking innovation, creativity, and value.
