Massively overworked - Surveyor Gold Crest Chartered Surveyors Employee Review

Pros

Salary is ok, not the best, but it could be worse.

Cons

The surveyors are massively overworked, we are expected to carry out 10 surveys per week, mostly level 3 surveys. You get home at 4-5pm each night then have another 4+ hours typing surveys and answering customers questions etc. If you work for Gold crest as a surveyor, you can say goodbye to any family/social life.

Pros

the admin and surveyors are amazing people to work with

Cons

What isn’t a con. The whole company is a con. It recently got taken over by Novello and that is where all the lies started. You are promised a pipe dream only for them not to follow up with anything. Their communication is shocking but put all the blame on everyone else. Myself and other employees sometimes wait up to a month for a response to emails from Liberty. Unless you are operation manager or above, your job is not valued. It won’t be long before Gold Crest go into administration again. The new owner James is so money orientated and doesn’t care who he hurt on the way. There’s 2 obvious brown noser in the company that are currently being protected but guess what, you are replaceable. Seems to be one rule for one and one for another. Told working from home is not an option but their original 3 staff members all work remote and did not have to relocate to keep their jobs. Gold Crest sales is now 50% done by remote employees in another country because they cost 50% less than what normal admin do. These staff are walking all over you and you don’t see it, you got rid of your most loyal employees. Silly silly people.
