Pros

Some of the leasing offices are closed on Sundays

Cons

- Doesn't offer quality formal training -Unprofessional Management/Training staff -Most Properties are older, dilapidated, roach infested properties that are hard to lease This is probably one the worst, unprofessional property management organizations you could possibly work for. I've spent time at numerous property management companies and never experienced the type of discriminatory, unethical treatment of not just myself but other employees within the company. I started at the company summer 2016 with hopes of building myself up within the company, having longevity and starting my young career out on a high note. Terrible decision it was to turn down fortune 500 opportunities to work for a company that cares nothing about their employees, are unorganized, unprofessional and not to mention doesn't even manage their properties well. There's no cohesion or unity leading to disarray and disorganization within the company. As an employee I was treated very poorly, offered little training and zero opportunity for advancement despite being a top performer in leasing and customer service. I worked hard to learn the leasing procedures and make progress and be a team player, but ultimately I ended up being fired over the phone (not in person) by the regional manager for "work performance." I would advise anyone if you are looking for a career in property management, this is not the place. There's are much better places to invest your time, energy, and grow your career.

Pros

Creative Freedom- Treat the buildings like your own is finally a true statement. We are not given budgets filled with other people's ideas to execute with no understanding. We learn how to build them ourselves with the improvements that will help us in the future. Support Systems- Grady has a wide range of employees some who have been here for over 30yrs and newbies like my self under two years, being able to reach out and not feel like you are bothering people has been so welcoming! Encouraging- Not only do we have a fair amount of creative freedom to essentially be a factor in major community changes, but it is encouraged to think outside of the box and share from everyone has a voice.

Cons

Change often comes fast- However feedback on a change is encouraged as how things impact us on site matters. This is not a con, but I will say it may be challenging to adjust if you are not already confident in your craft as a Community Manager. With the freedoms and flexibilities to push industry or property "standards" being a self-starter is needed. PTO- is earned, but slow to acquire.
