Pros

Christian value company which I have seen lead to friendlier and more compassionate management and employees. Employee discount can be used in conjuction with the weekly sales.

Cons

Can't have water. Standing all day except on your break- even at the registers. They get upset at you for resting against the cashier wall. 30 minute lunch. Tested weekly on your memorization of the new week's discounts- the computer system doesn't scan anything so you have to remember every single sale for every single item you ring up (type in manually). Then you get in trouble for forgetting or the if keyboard didn't pick up a number you punched in. You have to sign a paper to count and acknowledge anything that isn't done the way a computer system would do it. Won't supply bandages for cuts (employee or customer) which happens quite frequently with all the cardboard and broken glass- especially on truck days.

Cons

Air conditioning could be better, the work is somewhat strenuous, you are standing and moving the entire shift

Pros

Decent pay & except for Christmas season, the workload was not very intense or difficult. Great customers and met several great people that worked there as well.

Cons

Extremely toxic management. Verbally abusive that ran rampant throughtout management & CSM front supervision employees. Employees are spoken down to like they are children with a lot of disrespect. Common complaint amongst employees but most need the job so desperately because for a retail position without education, the pay is good. Employees are often too scared or just feel defeated and unheard. When it starts at the top & trickles down & all management is abusive in their authority, there is no one to go to for help.
