There's Good and Bad to Everything - Reservations Agent and Finance Department Holland America Line Employee Review

Pros

Job security is fairly good. The company has a history of not laying off people. However, you must meet established requirements and do your work or will be terminated when things get tough. Benefits are decent for the industry. Travel benefits are great.

Cons

Work environment could be improved depending on the department. Reservations positions are rough if you don't like being chained to the desk/phone and have your every move micromanaged. Other departments can be much more flexible, but often depends on the department management. Expect salaries to be low because of the industry. To get anywhere in the company, it's who you know.
