    Positive work environment, provides a variety of job roles and high profile positions. Close links with ministers and opportunities to play a key role in policy amendments and strategical decision making. Good opportunities for progression

    Cons

    Recent reputation damage. Decision making can be a lengthy process. Often not open to flexible or alternative ways of working.

    Flexible Working hours. Many Sections will consider compressed hours or working from home opportunities. Opportunities to take responsibility for large projects and gain valuable expereince that benefits in developing competencies for promotion. Many units within Immigration have annualised hours working. This gives a percentage of your salary for unsociable hours working.

    Cons

    Entirely dependant on where you are based and job function. Try to speak to someone within the team you intend to join for advice on working hours to make sure it is the right fit for you. Immigration Enforcement can be early starts and working extra hours may be necessary.
