Pros

Opportunity to try different editorial tasks, open plan office, caring managers, good place to begin your career and get experience.

Cons

The pay is well below the industry standard and is generally accepted by managers and employees as the company policy. Flexible working only flexible for the company and not the employees. Work/life balance difficult when working from home due to the flexible working policy.

Pros

Middle management hasn't always been as good as it is now but now it's what has made this company the best I've ever worked for. There is always be something worthwhile to do and goals are clear. There is a lot to learn but the support of my colleagues has meant I've grown from being with Hub4Leaders and I feel like part of a coherent team. Progression and pay have been okay for me personally but I know not everyone has had the same experience as me with those things. I like the ambition of the company, and the transparency of goals and whether we meet them or not, and what we can do to adapt. That seems to keep morale where it needs to be so I'm thankful for upper management on that.

Cons

No real cons so far but I'm aware that some colleagues have had concerns about pay and progression. Our department feels like the businesses' middle child sometimes but within the department itself there is a good vibe.

Pros

Hub4Leaders is a good way to start your career, they take people in fresh out of university and you learn quickly how to function within a business. The teams are well interconnected and you have a good say in what the business produces. The office is in a good part of macclesfield with nice amenities near by as well as good walks go on during lunch hours

Cons

the politics within the company ruin it. Upper management actively distance themselves from other workers and cost of living pay rises are few and far between. Promotions and career progression are not there due to small team sizes, and when they are it is at face value only and you won't get anything for the added work load. The management team also dismiss any criticism as an attack on the company and not as a way to improve.
