Pros

Engineering team has very experienced, acomplished engineers who are best in class on a global level.

Cons

Company is let down by other departments. The HR department has not implemented the HR strategy, policies or procedures on numerous occasions. A recent internal incident gave rise to a situation where employees were marched into a room one by one. Once inside the room the employees were questioned and intimidated by two senior management figures in relation to the internal incident. The employees were not informed that an investigation was taking place nor was the nature of the investigation disclosed prior to entering the room. The employees were then asked under duress to sign a document which didn't contain agreements. This incident was in violation of employee rights and showed a complete breakdown of the HR function. No representative of the HR department attended the interrogation. The HR policies and procedures should have protected the rights of the employees and the company while helping to facilitate the investigation of the internal incident. Lack of policy and procedure is undermining company values leading to unhappy employees and leaving the company exposed to lawsuits.

Pros

Great salary, most people were excellent, small company

Cons

Very poor culture of mis-trust and deceit. Company was losing money and their accelerometer product was a rebadged product from China and performed very poorly. Continuous back stabbing at senior management level meant there were constant crises. Pressure to get product to market to pacify the board and shareholders filtered down throughout the company and produced an unpleasant environment. Over the course of 18 months almost all senior managers had left, some roles turned over multiple times. Lack of clear direction and unrealistic goals. Constant interference and crazy ideas from the then owner often caused unnecessary chaos. I could go on.
